It is very important not to shave between waxing appointments as this will interrupt the process and stimulate hair growth again. So if you’re going on holiday and want to be hair-free while you’re away, you should plan your waxing appointments now for the best results. How often should I get my waxing appointment? Every four to five weeks. Regular waxing is essential. The skin will be less sensitive if waxing is done regularly. Over time, the hair follicle will have less and less of a grip on the hair that needs to be pulled out and the hairs will come out more easily. Another reason to wax often is that you may actually experience less hair growth over time. Is there anything I should do before my waxing appointment? Yes. Avoid taking a shower or bath right before your appointment. Soaking your hair softens it, making it more likely to break and making the wax less effective.
